MANOS

MANOS aims to display the underappreciated beauty of our hands and the tasks they perform daily. We tried to take an interesting new perspective through the medium of photography experimenting with colour, lighting and composition to evoke the importance of something we often take for granted.

The two treasures of our human bodies, our left hands, and our right hands. With these, we have adapted them to do just about everything, from communicating, to reading, to a show of allegiance. The possibilities are endless. Charley and I set out on this project to bring you a glimpse into these endless possibilities from secret hand messages to mere protective gestures, and how they can be used in unimaginable ways to convey limitless ideas, mainly our limitless ideas, many of which had to be cut out!

WE’RE FINISHED! 

yesterday we finished editing our pictures and got in contact with the printing company so its all systems go go go! on tuesday we’re back at oxford house to see the gallery again and decided exactly what we want and need doing. thank you to dodge for advising us on the pictures and generally just helping us out! 

but, now that our editing is over its time to start revision :(

GAME ON

we did a football/sports themed shoot last night which was absolutely freezing and sososososo dark we were using home made soft boxes and football shirts as flash reflectors and all sorts. we have a few shots which we think you will like but you’ll have to wait for the exhibition to see them :)
